Law School Students: Rocky Mountain Legal Center also hosts area law school students and helps prepare new lawyers for a career in the legal field. Students participate in a summer externship program or can work part time during the school year. Student externs engage in legal research and writing assignments, attend court, and assist staff attorneys in preparation of legal documents and client communication.
Licensed Attorneys: Any licensed attorney is encouraged to get involved by donating their time and services to our mission of providing equal justice for all members of our community. Rocky Mountain Legal Center is always expanding its attorney referral list and lawyers from all areas of practice are needed to fulfill the unmet needs of our low-income population.
As a non-profit community service organization, volunteers are critical to the success of our primary mission. Here’s how you can get involved:
Paralegals: Rocky Mountain Legal Center has developed affiliation agreements with local Paralegal Colleges and created a working environment for graduating students to learn paralegal skills while serving the unmet legal needs of a struggling population. Experienced paralegals are also encouraged to get involved. Even a few hours per week can make a big difference.
